Much like PVB's car that can only be operated between the ambient temperatures of 280-294 Kelvins, there is only a small window each year when I can use my beloved white kit. I like to keep this thing as white as humanely possible, which means three things
1) Never sweating in it
a) It leaves a yellow stain
b) Your butt birthmark becomes revealed to all.
2) Not using it if there is even a hint of moisture on the Doppler 5000
3) Don't wear it while experiencing LATE NIGHTS AT THE DISCOS! (I always found it funny that Marco Pantani and other Italian cyclists would talk about going to the disco for dancing after a hard stage at the Giro)
Sadly, I missed the first Hup Blanco order so both of my kits have been preworn, but I discovered that I could bring them back to their original blinding whiteness by using a little somethin somethin I like to call OxiClean.
I take a load of that stuff, bring a large pot tap water to a light boil let sit for 5 minutes, and soak my kit in their for approximately 6 hours. After that, hand wash, and it is looking like new, and perhaps even better than when Zac or Jamie initially danced around their living rooms in their brand new white kits.

I'm going to have to give the long soak method a shot as I wore my white CB kit in yesterday's muddy MTB race. I rinsed it about 50 times last night in hot soapy water and it's still pretty soiled. The worst is all the fine particulates and fines that get ground into the lycra.
Now I just need to find out where I can score some of this oxycontin.
I have found that a dab of Hydro-Flouric acid works quite well. Actually I am just kidding. Please don't steal that stuff from the lab, it penetrates through your skin and rots your bones.
I should have taken a before and after picture. I am not sure if it actually did anything, but in my mind yes.
I believe that hydrofluoric acid is the active ingredient in most embrocations. The rotting of your bones is what gives you the warm feeling.
I do not have an ugly birthmark, but I do have one of those tattoos that say BROS BEFORE HOS in Gothic writing. I hope that image helps.
Considering the colors of my team kit, B and W, this is the most useful blog post that I have read all week. Thank you for the info, I will provide feedback after I have tried the cleaning method. Perhaps by comparing notes, we can all keep our whites nice and fresh.
Now what do I use to clean my white bartape?
So, do you actually have to be wearing the kit whilst using this cleaning method?
I have noticed that if you try this method with the kit on your body, it truly enhances your tan lines as well.
